• Apt at 2pm Sat 5/6/2023
  • $107 Engine service fee ($123.73 total with tax and shop fee)
  • was told I could apply fee to any repair or oil change
  • took in for ABS light and they said I could apply charge to oil changes
  • I think they only read the codes…. did not dig into anythe
  • quoted $1257.22 to replace both front wheel bearings
  • I asked about tire pressure.. they said not ABS
  • Went to start car and did not start
  • jumped and pulled back in shop to do battery test, battery test failed (low voltage)
  • said about $200 to replace battery, but could not apply $107 engine service fee to that
  • so basically it the whole thing did not tell me anything new… will attempt an oil change at some point

Remove and Replace Drive Axile Youtube Video

1. Remove axle nut tc0:50
2. Push drive axle through hub tc1:43
3. Remove wheel speed sensor wire harness tc2:04
4. Remove ball joint steering knuckle tc2:15
5. Prepare to remove axle, oil may spill out of transmission tc2:41
6. LEFT AXLE - Pry drive axle away from transmission tc2:59
7. RIGHT AXLE - Pry away from intermediat shaft tc3:07
8. Inspect oil seals replace if damaged
9. Remove washer from outer spline for new axle tc3:29
10. Install new retaining clip on inner axle tc3:43
11. Lube oil seals tc3:57
12. Make sure the opening of clip faces down when inserting inner spline into transmission tc4:07
13. Lube outer spline and washer on hub spline tc4:43
14. Insert ball joint back into steering knuckle tc4:58
    • lst: Tighten to 37 ft-lb
    • 2nd: Loosen 120 degrees
    • 3rd: Tighten to 37 ft-lb
    • 4th: Tighten additional 45 degrees
15. Front Axle Nut - 2010-2017 FRONT tc6:48
    • 1st: 111 ft-lbs/150 Nm.
    • 2nd: Loosen 45°.
    • 3rd: 185 ft-lbs/250 Nm.
